About this game

In Stellar Appetite, you play as the custodian of the cosmos. Your job is simple - gather materials from old tiny worlds to bring new tiny worlds into existence. The worlds are full sized, but everything is tiny to you!

How to play

Fly through the cosmos with the arrow keys (Up, Down, Left, Right)  or by touching the screen in the direction you want to go. Eat planets to collect the resources then eat the star to bring forth new life!

What this game has taught me

1) This is my first time using Unity's Universal Rendering Pipeline (URP). There was a lot of learning how to work with textures and shaders, especially when importing assets that use the built-in render pipeline.

2) Animation blending and state machines.  This has always mystified me, but I'm feeling much better working with it now.  I would have liked to have had the eating animation reverse when it finished but I think I would have needed another animation step for that.

3) Particle effects with force fields can produce some interesting results.  I'm pretty happy with how eating particle effect ended up.

4) Carving out time during a family vacation is hard!

Great game! I loved the sound and animation of eating
the planets.
